It was February 2014 when Kirby Thomas, a Library Media Specialist earned the McAuliffe Elementary school a check of $25K from Entitle. She also gave away $25 worth of gift cards from Target. However, checking at the excitement coursing through the veins of the kids, Ellen went all out and gifted another $25K to the school as a summer fund. Moreover, as Kirby herself adopted 2 young foster children, Ellen gifted her house a beautiful child-proof home makeover.
JENSEN FAMILY (2011)
Gifts: $10,000, $25,000 gift card from Whole Foods, NFL tickets and jerseys.
In 2011, the noble Jensen family received a surprise that changed their lives. John and Tammy Jensen worked at the Putnam City West High School where students from low-income families needed more food. So, the Jensen couple started their very own pantry for the children, and even helped one of the kids move into their own house. Looking at the good work that the couple was doing for the children, Ellen wanted to help them with their work. So, she gifted them NFL VIP tickets for a New Orleans Saints game, jerseys for the game, $10,000 and lastly $25,000 worth of gift cards from Whole Foods.
TATIANA (2010)
Gifts: A trip all around the world
Ellen is known for her quirky comments and pranks. The hostess dished out a gift of $40,000 in her show to a random audience. Tatiana, a regular girl who just happened to visit the show was completely out of the world when she won the game “Will HE Wonka or Will He Won’t?” and guess what she won? Tatiana won a golden ticket for four, around the world along with a cash prize of $12,500, making the total come to $40,000.
