Many weird incidents happen in trains. The time a passenger thinks that he/she has seen everything in these vehicles then comes the latest incident which took place on a train in Paris.
Paris passengers face delays on every Monday and they are used to it as well. But the latest delay was totally due to an unexpected event. And not often a train delay announcement put smiles on the passengers. A woman while boarding on Réseau Express Régional train gave birth to a child.
And now the baby boy is entitled to travel free for 25 years. The baby picked his time perfectly as the local newspaper reported that the incident occurred at RER A line which runs from east to west and is one of the busiest lines in Europe.
This time, the passengers were aware of the dealy as the screens on the station showed the message ‘unexpected baby birth occurred in train’. The message further stated that the entire line is disrupted due to the birth.

Initially, the network labeled the problem as ‘traveler discomfort’ and that’s one way of tackling the situation. It said that a baby was born on the train near Auber station and that’s why the whole track is blocked between Etoile and Nation stations.
In a Tweet, RER stated that the mother of the baby is taken care of by the paramedic staff. After the delivery, the mother and the newborn were taken to the nearby clinic and traffic gradually resumed. The Tweet further said that the whole team is congratulating the mother and welcoming the newborn. RER added that mother and the newborn are doing well.

The network also announced on Twitter that all the emergency workers are helping the mother on the train and everything is under control. The news of the baby birth in the train took the Internet by storm as many people tweeted about the event. One said baby took his first breath underground in RER. Another asked whether the newborn would be a born Auber (French citizen).

This Tweet then followed by the breaking news from Line A which said that they are pleased to announce that the newborn will enjoy free 25 years travel service from RATP. Valerie Pécresse, Ile-de-France’s President, tweeted that all the incidents that occur in RER train, some of them make people happier than the others. She then wished the newborn a healthy and long life.

The baby was born with the help of passengers and emergency workers around 11:40 AM and for that duration, the train was held at Auber station. For both sides, the trains were kept paused for 45 minutes during the delivery.
The carriage was also evacuated and according to the reports, there were 15 passengers in it. This wasn’t the first time that a baby was born in transportation mode. Another baby boy was born last year in Jet Airways flying from Saudi Arabia to India.
For that incident, the company announced a lifetime’s worth of air tickets to the newborn. This time, the assistance was provided by the crew and a paramedic staff members.
Yet another birth on board a public transportation vehicle took place when a baby girl was born in a Cebu Pacific flight flying from Dubai to the Philippines. The low-cost airline then announced a lifetime’s worth of free air fare to the newborn.

Back in 2013, a 22-year-old mother gave birth to a healthy baby on Southeastern 18 which was traveling from Victoria to Maidstone.
During the delivery time, passengers were asked to leave the carriage as an on-duty nurse and a police officer assisted the delivery. The labor continued for 15 minutes as the mother gave birth to a 6lb baby girl. The mother Sonia Banks and father Allan Stanley were traveling back to their home when the unexpected delivery took place.
