Koufonisia (Suntrap Islands)
Koufonisia is an island between the Cyclades, and it may not offer you the lure of modern-day city life. However, it would give you the relaxation and joy of paradise. Koufonisia consists of three islands, Ano (upper) Koufonisi, and has only 300 inhabitants, Kato (lower) Koufonisi. It just a few buildings and famous Greeks taverns, and Keros, which most tourists cannot visit as it comes under a protected archaeological area. You can stay only in Ano Koufonisi and from there, find a trip to Kato Koufonisi. You can rent a bike and visit the clear water beaches at Italida and Pori. The food there is delectable, and take selfies next to the windmill while you catch a marvelous sunset.
The beautiful island of Elafonisos, Peloponnese Peninsula, is a tiny and unique, tiny island and has the oldest submerged town, Pavlopetri. You can dive into the mystery of the submerged city that is 13ft (4m) underwater, and enjoy snorkeling. As a beach, it’s nothing short of gorgeous!
The water is crystal clear, and you can sink in the soft white sand of the clean beaches. It has two beaches separated only by a tiny sand bar. It is our idea of a quiet island with only 600 people living there. So, you can enjoy a relaxed, peaceful holiday with sumptuous food and friendly locals.
Little Agistri is one of the hidden gems of Greek islands. It is one of the Saronic islands and the very big city of Athens, but it seems far away from the madding crowd. Agistri is the choice of Athenians for a weekend getaway, but not many tourists know about this untouched paradise. It is a great place to go swimming and enjoy the beauty of pine-forested scenery. It is impossible to believe that such a beautiful place could be near a big and populous city.
